Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

– 1 Timothy 6:12, KJV

Fighting the good fight means putting your trust in God and never giving up or surrendering to the challenges of life. You cannot fight if you lack a fighting spirit.

Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.

– Micah 6:1

You must possess unshakable and unmovable faith to fight and never settle for anything less than success and victory. Paul, the saint of God was a man with a fighting spirit who faced many trials, persecutions and challenges of life. Yet, he never gave up due to his fighting spirit and knowing he was fighting a good fight, he eventually won and conquered.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

– Romans 8:37

Trials, temptations, oppositions, hardship, false accusations, rejection, disappointments and defeats are not enough reasons to accept defeat or give up. The best way you can keep fighting the good fight is to renew your mind daily through reading, meditating and praying God’s word. You will begin to think differently for the day. This will enable you to tackle and fight any challenge, trial or temptation.

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

– Proverbs 24:16

You are not down until you fail to rise up. You must possess the fighting spirit to succeed in life. Be encouraged and remember that you are wonderfully and fearfully created. You should also know that many are the afflictions of the righteous but God deliberately and consistently delivers them from all. You are a carrier of God’s seed and you are a winner and a champion in the making. Take charge to confront your confrontations.
