How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

The blood of Jesus makes you forget your past mess, so don’t forget that your past mess is forgotten by the covenant blood of Jesus.

You don’t have to carry the guilt and shame of sin again. What you need to do is to commit to Christ. Don’t be plagued by the things that happened last week or past years ago for that matter. Even your old attitudes of jealousy, anger, slothfulness, procrastination, stubbornness and disobedience are a part of the mess you must stop so that you don’t continue to bear the weight of all those things into the coming year.

If you are still tied to the past mess and the shame of your past, you can’t have victory. You can’t experience freedom. You remain enslaved you will keep thinking wrong thoughts. You’ve been involved in so much sin that you think that’s your identity. What God is trying to tell you today is He wants to change your identity!

Forgetting your past mess unties you from the shame of your past and ties you to Christ’s blood and the cross of Jesus. The blood and the cross of Christ pull you out of your past mess and give you a new identity in Christ.

Strive to become that new creation with a fresh new beginning – a new beginning for walking in victory and seeking after the higher things of God. Get ready for a fresh start. Get ready to soar like the eagle. Get ready for a paradigm shift from ordinary to extraordinary. Get ready to go after God with all your might for God’s time has come.

May your mind be resolved to put the past mess behind you to pursue the higher things of God in the name of Jesus.
