Daily Delight Devotional – Friday, July 21 2023

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

– Proverbs 22:29, KJV

Diligence is the way to excellence in life, ministry, academics and so on. A man who is diligent is a man who will stand in high places. He is not an ordinary man. He will do extraordinary exploits for the kingdom. The portion of a diligent man is kingship and prosperity. The Bible says:

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

– Proverbs 10:4, KJV

Poverty has no business in the house of a diligent man. God has promised to bless the work of your hands but your hands must be found doing something so that His Word can go into operation. Prosperity comes to those who sit down in the place of labour to bring forth the fruit of success. Diligence is the vehicle you need to get to your destiny. With diligence, life becomes a straight road for you. Be diligent and be busy doing something worthwhile and your breakthrough will be busy looking for you.

Insight: The degree of a man’s prosperity and comfort is according to the fruit of his labour. If a man’s labour is laziness and idleness, his fruit will be poverty. On the other hand, if his labour is hard work and diligence, his fruit will be success and prosperity.

Prayer: Father, help me to be diligent and excel in all areas of my life in the name of Jesus.
