Daily Delight Devotional – Thursday, July 27 2023

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

– Deuteronomy 29:29, KJV

A secret is a piece of information that only a certain person or group of people knows. Secrets are a necessary part of our lives. Interestingly, God has some secrets as well. He shares those secrets with some people and withholds them from others. “The revealed things” are the things that God has revealed to his children, particularly those things that are found in the Bible. Remember, the secret things – the things you don’t understand belong to God. However, the things that God has revealed to you belong to us and future generations to come. Sometimes God concealed things.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

Proverbs 25:2

Search out the truth and secrets. God has designed man in such a way as to be constantly learning all of his life. You are bringing satisfaction to yourself when you search for the secrets of your destiny or life because there is nothing greater that a man can do than to search out and discover new truths or secrets of success. God enjoys concealing things from us and watching us search them out.

Insight: If you want to make God happy, you should apply yourself as diligently as possible to your studies and learn those things that have been hidden from you.

Prayer: Father, I receive grace to search for new truths and secrets of high levels of consecration and commitment in the name of Jesus.
