Daily Delight Devotional – Tuesday, September 12 2023

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

– Romans 8:14, KJV

The Holy Spirit often guides you sometimes but you are not aware of it. The Scripture says:

“Those who are led by the Spirit of God” – Romans 8:14

and,

“…you are led by the Spirit” – Galatians 5:18.

The Holy Spirit seemingly takes full control of a person. This is particularly true of one who is mature in the Lord and who is willing to yield to the Spirit. There are times when your thought comes to your mind to call someone whom you haven’t seen for some time. That moment the person answers the phone, you will know the Holy Spirit prompted the call. Many believers have had such an experience.

When we hear the phrase, the “Spirit came on him” in the Old Testament and the New Testament, we see the words, “…the Holy Spirit comes on you” as in Acts 1:8, The statement is intended to imply that when the Spirit “comes” on someone, it is for a special purpose, a special enduement of power. Let the Holy Spirit guide and lead you daily.

Insight: In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells His followers that “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you” (NIV). He comes on you to guide and lead you.

Prayer: Father Lord, let the Holy Spirit lead me daily in the name of Jesus.
