Daily Delight Devotional – Wednesday, October 18, 2023

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

Deuteronomy 30:19

Your situation does not change by itself; it’s your choices and decisions that have the power to change your situation. The decisions of the Israelites determined how far and how fast they went. There was a time when Moses chose to suffer affliction with the people of God rather than enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. That decision determined his destiny. Abraham chose to leave his kindred and his homeland for a land God would show him (Genesis 12:1-4). That decision shaped his destiny. David chose to fight Goliath when all the warriors of Israel were hiding in fear. That decision launched him into the limelight. Even our Lord and Savior Jesus chose to come to the earth and die for the sins of humanity. That one decision established His influence on the course of the entire human race.

Just one decision can make all the difference in your life. One decision can not only change your situation but also make you relevant in the affairs of your family, business, and neighbourhood. Some people just want to flow with the tide without understanding the tide. It’s high time you made a decision to stand out from the crowd. To make the right choices, you must know the heart of Him who judges right. You must understand what’s on the mind of God at any given time, once you know His mind concerning any issue.

Insight: When your will aligns with the will of God, you will make the right decisions, and these decisions will prosper you.

Prayer: Father, help me make the right choices and decisions to change my situation in the name of Jesus.
