Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Proverbs 27:17

In every relationship, we desire to experience the other person in a way that brings us satisfaction and pleasure. No one is self-made; we are all part of the network of life, products of relationships and influences. You need those who will uplift your spirit and fill your life with positivity. Someone might be perishing emotionally, mentally, or spiritually, waiting for you to come to their rescue.

When your relationship with God is healthy, your relationships with people will flourish. The Bible says, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him” (Proverbs 16:7). Be kind to one another, show mutual respect, pray for those who wrong you, and practice hospitality.

Insight: The Scriptures tell us that “A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; he rages against all wise judgment” (Proverbs 18:1).

Prayer: Father, bring someone into my life who will be like an angel, uplifting and inspiring me in the name of Jesus.
