For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
Job 3:25 (KJV)
The issue is not that we fail at times; it’s that we continually live in fear of failure. Job’s fear became a reality in his life. The Bible tells us that “as a man thinks in his heart, so he is” (Proverbs 23:7). This means that a person who constantly dwells on fear is always aware of fear. As a result, they end up fearing. On the other hand, someone who lives knowing that God is their helper, and lives for success, will experience success.
In 2 Timothy 1:7, the Apostle Paul encourages a young minister who is entering the ministry. He imparts deep truths for our generation. He says, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind.” Fear is a spirit. When you are controlled by this spirit of fear, you will live in constant fear of failure. However, God has given you a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. The Bible tells us that “perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18). This means that when you are filled with the Spirit of God, you will become fearless.
Insight: Live to succeed, live to be fulfilled, live to be fearless.
Prayer: Father, I will not live in fear; I will be fearless in all that I do, in the name of Jesus.
