If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Job 36:11
Service to God holds great significance, and the act of serving others is equally crucial. Even Jesus, during His time on earth, exemplified service: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) It’s essential to be willing to serve without expecting recognition or personal gain, demonstrating a “contribution mentality”—a readiness to add value to others’ lives through service, utilizing the gifts bestowed by God (1 Peter 4:10).
In Philippians 2:5-9, we see the mind of Christ reflected in His humble service: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus… He made Himself of no reputation, took the form of a servant, humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death.” Christ’s humble service led to God highly exalting Him. To experience divine elevation, emulate Christ—be a servant, obedient, and humble to the end!
Insight: Embrace a servant’s heart, the spirit of meekness, and the willingness to obey God’s commandments. This will transform your story.
Prayer: Father, give me the heart of a servant to serve in any capacity you designed for me in the name of Jesus.
