Daily Delight Devotional – Monday, December 11, 2023

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Hebrews 10:36 (KJV)

In a world accustomed to instant results and hastiness in every worthwhile endeavour, the Bible emphasizes the essential need for patience. Patience is the key to securing the blessings and promises of the Lord. Regaining a lost vision or promise requires a patient partnership with God. Instant results may be tempting, but God desires to gradually rebuild and strengthen you, fortifying you with spiritual resilience that prevents future theft of your vision.

As the Psalmist declared, “I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me and heard my cry” (Psalm 40:1). Therefore, embrace patience; it may be challenging, but it ensures the eventual inheritance of blessings.

Insight: Patience, though demanding, paves the way to inherit blessings.

Prayer: Father, help me understand the blessings of being patient, in the name of Jesus.
