If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

– Job 36:11 (KJV)

Service to God holds immense importance, as does service to others. Jesus, during His time on earth, exemplified service (Mark 10:45). In serving, adopt the “contribution mentality,” a willingness to add value to the lives of others using the gifts God has bestowed upon you.

Jesus modelled true servanthood, demonstrating humility and obedience to the end. In return, God highly exalted Him. True spirituality involves service. Service is the offering of help, kindness, or assistance to God or others, done with a heart of humility, genuine love, and affection for God.

Kingdom service attracts divine unction, blessings, divine health, longevity, and honour. Be willing to serve without seeking recognition or fortune. Embrace the role of a servant—be obedient and humble.

Insight: Service is proof of dedication, value, or commitment. Claiming to love or value God is incongruent without a willingness to serve.

Prayer: Father, grace me with the ability to serve. Show me what to do and help me do what You want me to do, in the name of Jesus.
