One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

As we navigate the year of Exponential Increase, incorporating giving habits becomes a key to unlocking abundance. Contrary to popular belief, giving is not solely about large sums of money. It’s about weaving generosity into the fabric of our daily lives, regardless of the scale. Remember the widow in Luke 21 who gave coins instead of a million in donation? It’s a lesson passed on that your giving has to be about habits rather than a show.
This year, endeavour to embrace giving in various forms:
- Volunteering Your Time: Dedicate your skills and talents to the advancement of God’s kingdom. Your time is a valuable resource that can make a significant impact.
- Offering Help to Those in Need: Be a modern-day Barnabas, offering support and encouragement to those who are struggling. Your helping hand can be a catalyst for someone else’s growth.
- Giving to Charity: Support organizations that align with your values and are working to make a positive difference in the world. Not only that, recognize people around you who need your help. An ailing Samaritan needs help not neglect.
- Share your resources: Donate your belongings or excess food to those who need it. The early Church is an example to us. Many of the believers sold their properties so that they could be a channel of blessing to the Kingdom of God and others without expecting a reward. (Acts 2:45)
Today, let’s commit to giving habits. In giving freely, we open the floodgates for God’s blessings to flow abundantly into our lives. As we refresh others, we, too, will be refreshed in the bountiful cycle of generosity.
Insight: Giving habits, beyond money, are the keys to unlocking Exponential Increase in every aspect of our lives.
Prayer: Lord, instil in me a heart of generosity. May my giving habits, in various forms, be a conduit for Your blessings to flow abundantly in the year of Exponential Increase. Amen.
