Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
– Matthew 6:34, NIV
As we anticipate the fulfilment of our goals, it is easy to be distracted by the euphoria of anticipation that we neglect what God is doing right now. God works with us in the now. The Now enables us to catch a foothold of the present. This is why staying in the present is critical without losing sight of what God is doing.
Being grounded in the now, we appreciate God’s presence in our everyday experiences. It’s in the laughter shared, the alliances formed, the challenges faced, and the small victories celebrated. By staying in the present, we can find the blessing of His presence as He orchestrates each moment.
A dreamer needs to be in the present to achieve their dreams. Staying in the present makes you aware of your current situation, know how to deal with the failures of the past and forge a path with wisdom and guidance to the future. Jesus said tomorrow has its trouble. Deal with the now. Let God take care of the future for you by committing it into His hands.
Insight: Staying in the present allows us to appreciate God’s presence in everyday experiences and deal with past failures.
Prayer: Lord, help me stay grounded in the present. May Your presence illuminate each moment, and may I find solace in Your grace for today.
