Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

– Luke 18:1

Prayer is powerful. Persistent prayer is powerful and effective. Jesus shared the parable of the woman seeking justice to drive home this point. It’s a vivid picture of how focused prayers can bring about unprecedented results. Who would have thought a corrupt judge could give justice? But persistence did that – laser-focused attitude.

Persistent prayer ensures a sustained focus and upward spiritual growth. As much as we are consistent in seeking God’s will, we will find the strength to stay focused on His purpose. Just as the persistent widow in the parable, we are encouraged to build a prayer life that is both consistent and fervent.

Persistent prayer is an ongoing conversation with the God Almighty. It is a continuous seeking of His guidance and an acknowledgement that, in persistent prayer, spiritual growth flourishes.

Insight: Persistent prayer is an ongoing conversation with God that builds resilience and unwavering commitment.

Prayer: Lord, let my consistency in seeking Your will be the foundation of sustained focus and spiritual growth in my life.
