Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
– John 15:4, NKJV
Having a foundation in Jesus is the first. Remaining rooted in Christ is important. You don’t build a foundation and abandon the work. You see to it that you remain and see the work progress.
Remaining rooted in Christ requires a steadfast commitment to walk in His ways. Just as a tree draws nourishment from its roots, we draw strength and sustenance from our relationship with Jesus. In times of doubt, discouragement, or spiritual dryness, we are called to abide in Christ, trusting in His promises and leaning on His strength.
Pray. Let it be your lifeline. Immerse yourself in the word. Let it be your roadmap for navigating life’s challenges. Jesus said, besides Him, you cannot do anything. What that means is with Him, you are everything.
Insight: Remaining rooted in Christ ensures you have sustenance from your relationship with Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to remain rooted in You amidst life’s challenges.
