Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

As believers, we are called to embrace change and growth in our spiritual journey. Just as Christ’s sacrifice brings forgiveness and redemption, it also brings about a profound transformation in our lives. We are no longer bound by the chains of sin and death but are set free to live as new creations in Him. Good Friday commemorates the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who willingly laid down His life to reconcile humanity to God. Through His death on the cross, we are offered the gift of transformation — a chance to be made new in Him.
Embracing change requires a willingness to let go of old patterns, attitudes, and behaviours that hinder our walk with God. It involves surrendering our will to His and allowing His Spirit to work in us, moulding us into the image of Christ.
The call to transformation is not always easy, and it often requires us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the unknown. Yet, we can take courage in knowing that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us. The first step is acceptance, followed by a confession of your faith. Allow the transformative power of Christ’s sacrifice to work through you so you can be empowered to live a life of change.
If you are willing to surrender your life to the lordship of Jesus Christ, say this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I recognize the work you did to find me a place in your kingdom. Come and be the Lord over my life as of today. Help me to walk in the newness of life that you have prepared for me. I repent of my sins and lifestyle and declare you my Lord today and forever. Amen.
Insight: Christ’s sacrifice brings about a profound transformation in our lives, freeing us from the bondage of sin and empowering us to live as new creations in Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of transformation through Christ’s sacrifice. Help us to embrace change and growth in our spiritual journey, knowing that You are at work in us, making us new creations in Him. Amen.
