The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

What makes the Bible remarkable and unique is that it is cohesive and coherent despite being labelled as a collection of writings. With approximately 40 authors over about 1,500 years, who came from various backgrounds including royals, shepherds, scholars, fishermen, and other occupations, the Bible remains consistent and united with one thematic subject.

It is an interconnected narrative that reveals God’s redemptive plan for humanity. From Genesis to Revelation, the themes of sin, redemption, and restoration thread through the pages of Scripture, painting a unified portrait of God’s character and His relationship with His people.

Whether we study the narratives of the Old Testament, the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels, or the epistles of the New Testament, we find a consistent message that points to the person and works of Jesus Christ.

Therefore, let us trust in the reliability and unity of Scripture, knowing that it is inspired by God and profitable for our teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). By studying the Bible in its entirety, we gain a deeper understanding of God’s character, His purposes, and His will for our lives.

Insight: The harmony of Scripture is evident in its consistency. Every book, chapter, and verse contributes to the overarching narrative of God’s plan of salvation, culminating in the person of Jesus Christ, who is the fulfilment of all Scripture.

Prayer: Lord, help me to see the unity and harmony of Scripture as I give myself to its truth allowing it to transform my life according to Your will. Amen.
