Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word.

To proclaim the gospel fearlessly is a calling for every believer. No one is exempted. It involves stepping out in faith, with confidence and conviction, to share the truth about Jesus Christ with others. This boldness is not about being confrontational or aggressive; rather, it is about having a deep-seated assurance in the power of the Word of God and a genuine love for perishing souls.

To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ fearlessly, we need to be grounded in our faith. Knowing the truth of God’s Word and having an experience of its power gives us the confidence to share that truth with others. Prayer is also essential, as it aligns our hearts with God’s purposes and fills us with His Spirit, enabling us to speak boldly.

When faced with opposition and even threats to their lives, the early Christians didn’t shrink back in fear. Instead, they prayed for boldness to proclaim the Gospel fearlessly. Our scriptural text for today captures their fervent prayer for courage, revealing their unwavering commitment to sharing the message of Jesus Christ despite the risks.

Opposition and resistance are inevitable when we share the good news. However, like the early Christians, we can find courage in our Lord. We are not alone in this mission; the Holy Spirit empowers us, giving us the words to speak and the strength to endure.

Insight: Share the gospel with confidence and conviction, knowing that we are ambassadors of the living God, entrusted with the most important message for all.

Prayer: Lord, grant me the boldness to proclaim Your word fearlessly.
