If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
– Galatians 5:25, NKJV
The Christian life is not meant to be static. Just as a tree grows, reaching deeper into the soil and higher toward the sky, so too should our spiritual lives reflect continuous growth. This growth happens when we walk in partnership with the Holy Spirit. It happens only by yielding to His guidance and allowing Him to shape our character and inform our decisions, and actions.
Apostle Paul said, we need to walk in the Spirit. What does this mean? This is not about acknowledging His existence without engaging His person. It is an active pursuit of living in harmony with His guidance. As each day passes by, we are faced with choices that either align with God’s purpose or take us off course. However, when we listen to the Holy Spirit, we are able to make not only the right decisions but those that will ensure we grow spiritually. This spreads to every aspect of our lives including our relationships.
To grow means we are dead to ourselves. Jesus said, “…unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain”. John 12:24
Insight: Walking in step with the Holy Spirit leads to continuous growth, shaping us into His likeness.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, I desire to walk in wisdom, strength, and purpose. Help me to walk in step with You daily.
