Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord… Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.

God designed marriage to function with roles that reflect His wisdom and order. Husbands are called to lead with love, not control, mirroring the sacrificial love of Christ. Wives are called to support and strengthen that leadership with respect and godly influence. These roles are not about superiority or inferiority but about complementary strength and unity.

Unfortunately, culture often distorts these roles, leading to confusion, competition, or resentment. But when couples embrace God’s design, they thrive in unity and purpose. Each role enhances the other, bringing peace, clarity, and shared responsibility to the home.

The goal isn’t role enforcement but Christ-centered partnership. When both partners value and honor each other’s place, they create a home where love, respect, and purpose flourish.

Insight: God’s design brings peace. Embrace your role with humility and joy.

Prayer: God, help us live out the roles You’ve given us with grace and humility. Let our actions reflect Your love and wisdom.
