A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. – Ecclesiastes 10:19

A budget shows where your money goes and helps you decide how to spend it. Start with a simple budget that lists your income and all monthly expenses.

Group expenses into needs and wants. Make sure your total expenses do not exceed your income. A budget helps you find places to cut back so you can save or pay off debt. Review your budget each month and adjust as needed. If your expenses are higher than your income, change the budget or increase your income.

A clear budget reduces stress and helps you reach your goals.

Insight: A short written budget gives control and clears the path for saving and progress.

Prayer: Lord, help me to make a clear budget and to live within it. Give me wisdom to cut waste and use money well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
