I give you authority to overcome all the power of the enemy.

Authority is different from power. Power is the ability to act, while authority is the legal right to exercise that power.

Through Christ, believers have authority over the works of the enemy. This authority is not based on feelings. It is based on the finished work of Jesus.

When believers understand their authority, they stop living in fear. Instead, they begin to command situations according to God’s Word.

Today, stand confidently in the authority God has given you.

Insight: Authority in Christ empowers believers to overcome opposition.

Prayer: Father, teach me to exercise the authority You have given me in Christ.
