Do Not Make Decisions in Emotional Moments – #DailyDelightDevotional

Daily Delight Devotional – Saturday, June 20, 2026

“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”

— Isaiah 40:31

Pressure often creates urgency, but urgency is not always wisdom. People sometimes leave assignments, damage relationships, or abandon God’s calling because they react emotionally.

David repeatedly sought God before making major decisions. Jesus prayed in Gethsemane instead of surrendering to fear.

Waiting on God does not mean doing nothing. It means allowing His peace and wisdom to guide your next step.

When emotions are high, patience becomes protection. God’s timing is always better than hurried decisions.

Today, wait for God’s direction before taking major steps.

Insight: Wise decisions are made through prayer, not pressure.

Prayer: Lord, give me patience and wisdom to follow Your guidance instead of my emotions.

Daily Bible Reading: Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 37:7
