“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.”
Luke 1:80 —
Every great assignment has a season of preparation.
John the Baptist spent time in the wilderness before the day of his public ministry. During that period, he was growing and becoming ready for what God had called him to do.
David, Joseph, Moses, Esther, and even Jesus experienced seasons of preparation before stepping into their assignments.
Sometimes God uses waiting seasons to develop our character, strengthen our faith, increase our knowledge, and prepare us for greater responsibility.
But preparation is not the final destination.
There comes a time when what you have learned must be put into practice. There comes a time when the gifts you have developed must begin to serve others.
Do not become so comfortable preparing that you never take the next step.
If God has opened a door, respond with faith and wisdom. Put your training to work. Begin where you are and keep growing.
You were not prepared simply to remain in preparation. You were prepared to fulfil an assignment.
Insight: Preparation develops your capacity, but manifestation begins when you respond to God’s call.
Prayer: Father, thank You for every season of preparation. Give me wisdom to recognize when it is time to move forward. Help me use everything You have taught me to fulfil my divine assignment. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
