Daily Delight Devotional – Sunday, October 8, 2023

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:7 (KJV)

You must be born again. This marks the foundation of everything. Everything about Christianity is centred around it.

Are you born again? The Bible says that if any man is in Christ, old things are passed away, and behold, all things have become new. Giving one’s life to Jesus does not mean raising up your hands at the altar to pray and later go back to your sins.

Many churchgoers are not born again. The truly born-again don’t fight, they don’t commit fornication, no adultery, no telling lies — old things are passed away, and all things are now become new.

They have now been born from above. They have gone back into the womb of Jesus, and they are out anew. God is not obliged to bless anyone who is not His child. This is the beginning of it all.

So, if you are not born again, go and seek counsel from the counsellors and learn to give your life to Jesus. Jesus must be the Lord of your life. You must be born again.

Insight: You must find out the purpose of God for your life when you are born again.

Prayer: Father, I receive new life in Christ Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
