The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

Proverbs 12:27 (KJV)

Every man has been created with the ability to be diligent. That is why the Bible says, “Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10). Working hard is one of the most valuable and important secrets of a fulfilled life. If you want to succeed, you have no choice but to be diligent. It is so important that any man who would not work is said to have a problem. Any man who truly wants to accomplish something worthwhile must actively pursue his goals.

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Proverbs 22:29 (KJV)

Diligence will promote you; it will bring you to the place of authority. To be diligent is to be efficient in the use of time and resources. Jesus said, “I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day; the night is coming when no man can work” (John 9:4). This is the power of the success of Jesus because he was a man given to diligence.

Insight: Diligence can earn you instant fame and promotion, like David when he approached Goliath. Diligence will always promote you.

Prayer: Father, help me to be more diligent in my doing to secure destiny for my future, in the name of Jesus.
