And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

– James 5:15

Behind every answered prayer is unwavering faith. Faith is the confidence in the goodness and mercy of God. Faith says, “No matter how bad my situation is, nor how long it takes, my God will do it for me.” Such bold confidence pleases God and prompts Him to act swiftly. However, God is limited, grieved, and hindered wherever and whenever He finds doubt, fear, worry, and unbelief. God can do nothing except in an atmosphere of faith. Behind every major receiving in the Bible is mighty believing. (Read Matthew 17:20; 21:22; Mark 11:22-24; Hebrews 11:6; James 1:5-8)

When the woman confessed that she had touched Jesus, He said, “Woman, thy faith hath made thee whole!” That woman exercised something that every one of us possesses: FAITH.

Insight: Put your faith to work.

Prayer: Father, my faith will not fail in the name of Jesus.
