Daily Delight Devotional – Sunday, December 17, 2023

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Matthew 6:20, KJV

When you give to missions and evangelism, your tithes, offerings, and money with joy, you are laying up for yourself treasures in heaven. It is crucial to do it well because what you lay up today will be what you will enjoy in the resurrection morning.

Every believer should be unrepentantly addicted to giving for the work of God. Besides faithfully giving your tithes, consider contributing essential and special gifts to the ministry. God will keep blessing and prospering the works of your hands. You can be a blessing to the work of God through your generous giving.

It’s time for believers to release their treasures into the mission field and building projects. Everyone, as the Lord has enabled, should give their best because only the best is good enough for God.

Insight: Your giving is a reflection of how much of your heart is in the work that is dearest and closest to God’s heart.

Prayer: Father, grace me with the spirit of giving to be a blessing to the kingdom in the name of Jesus.
