In Him Was Life; and the Life Was the Light of Men

– John 1:4 (KJV)

The life that Jesus imparts brings illumination into the human experience. Without Jesus, humanity is left in darkness, devoid of light. Similar to a lighthouse guiding ships to safety, the divine light, Jesus, safely leads us through life to our heavenly home. There is hope in the presence of light, whereas darkness harbours fear. Christ, the divine light, instils hope in us through the promises sealed in His blood.

Blinded by sin, man lacks the hope of seeing God and experiencing His love. Yet, Jesus, the light of God, opens our eyes to the truth. Salvation becomes the guiding light, leading us into the manifestation of the power of God. God desires to make us peculiar, shining with His light on Earth.

Insight: Scripturally, you are called to resist the devil and darkness, as the devil operates in darkness.

Prayer: Father, let the light of God showcase me as a lighthouse in the darkness of the earth, in the name of Jesus.
