For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
– Proverbs 1:32
Many people remain in spiritual childhood because they love comfort too much. They don’t want anything that feels hard. But true growth requires challenge. If you always choose comfort, you may miss your calling.
Even in the Bible, people who were called by God had to leave their comfort zones. Abraham left his home. Moses left the palace. Jesus left heaven. If they stayed comfortable, they would never fulfill their purpose. The same is true for us.
Comfort becomes dangerous when it stops us from moving forward. God allows pressure so that we can grow. Don’t fear change. Don’t avoid challenges. Use them as training. That’s how boys become men in the spirit.
Insight: Comfort is good, but it must never replace purpose. Growth often begins where comfort ends.
Prayer: Lord, take me beyond my comfort zone. Help me to embrace growth and trust Your process. I don’t want to remain the same. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
