Daily Delight Devotional – Monday, November 25, 2024

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of with one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you because we have heard that God is with you.'”

– Zechariah 8:23, NIV

The city of Jerusalem in Zechariah’s day was not attractive to people because it lay in ruins as the edifices and ambiance of the once lovely city had been destroyed. God declared with passion His intention to restore His people and transform their cities and lives by His presence. The city would then become a place of truth and holiness, where the people dwell safely. The redemption that God promised would bring glory evident to other nations and they would love to come to meet God.

God’s intention and passion for you is that you live and breathe His presence and then be a light that attracts others to Him. He wants the experience of His presence to be an everyday reality for you. A life of obedience and consistent connection to God will make you enjoy His presence so much that you become a light that attracts as God intends.

You may need to cry to God today to restore you to your original position where you practice God’s presence and your life becomes a force that pulls people to His kingdom.

Insight: Think and Meditate for your life to begin to reflect the presence of God.

Prayer: Father, help me to cultivate God’s presence and showcase your glory in my life in the name of Jesus.
