And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28, KJV

The discovery of divine purpose gives your life the right direction. It helps you know what to invest your life in and where. Living a rudderless, aimless life will not allow you to make an impact. You must know your purpose.

Jesus is our perfect model. He was not confused about His purpose in life, which enabled Him to make an uncommon impact within just three and a half years of His earthly ministry. In Mark 1:38, He said, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also because for this purpose I have come forth.” He was clear about His purpose in life. Jesus said again in John 12:27, “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose, I came to this hour.” John, who recorded this statement of Jesus, knew that Jesus lived a purpose-driven life.

If you are going to make an impact in life, you must discover and pursue God’s purpose for your life, just as Jesus and many others have done.

Insight: To discover your purpose in life, you need to first connect with God, your Saviour and Maker. God created you for a purpose.

Prayer: Father, help me discover my purpose in life, in the name of Jesus.
