And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

– 2 Kings 6:16, KJV

Elisha’s servant could only see part of the picture. He could only see with his natural eyes. However, Elisha could see with the eye of faith. When enemies surround you, you must remember, “You really can’t see the whole picture”. You don’t see the guardian angels. You don’t know what God is ultimately accomplishing through all this.

God has always sent his guardian angels to protect His people. God is sovereign over the enemies, therefore there is no reason to fear your enemies because God can reduce them to helpless creatures in seconds.

Insight: The King of Syria thought that there was a spy in the group but was told by some of his advisors that it was Elisha who was giving away the secrets. The best gift that God gave us is the Gift of Insight not eyesight.

Prayer: Father, guide me daily in the name of Jesus.
