Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation.
2 Chronicles 20:14 (KJV)
King Jehoshaphat, in a posture of patient waiting, engaged the Lord through general fasting and prayers. In response, Jahaziel, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, began to minister to the Lord, and an immediate divine response ensued.
And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”
2 Chronicles 20:15
Engaging God through intercession brings about divine visitation. Many individuals are unaware of how to invoke the presence of the Lord during times of trouble. The Scripture encourages us to call upon God in the day of trouble, and He promises to deliver us. Cultivating God’s presence and engaging in worship are essential to receiving an immediate response in times of need. Your spiritual capacity determines the depth of your engagement with God.
Insight: Every spiritual conflict has its unique strategy. The Lord of Hosts knows the right strategy for every battle when you genuinely engage Him in spirit and truth.
Prayer: Father, empower me to be victorious in spiritual warfare in the name of Jesus.
