I humbled my soul with fasting.

Psalm 35:13 (KJV)

Fasting works with humility. Pride can stop the power of fasting. When we fast, we are telling God we need Him. We are not trusting our strength.

Humility helps us listen to God and obey Him quickly. We stop making excuses. We stop doing things our own way. We submit to God and allow Him to change us.

Today, fast with a humble heart. Depend on God fully. He will lift you and help you.

Insight: Humility makes fasting strong and effective.

Prayer: Lord, help me stay humble as I fast.
