And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy
Exodus 33:19, KJV
Mercy gives us what we do not deserve, and we must know that it is the prerogative of God to show mercy to whoever He wants. When God’s mercy shows up, it puts an end to losses.
Mark 10:47-48 says “And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me”. And they charged him that he should hold his peace, rather He cried and cried for mercy.
You must cry for mercy. Cry to the Lord who will change your story. The cry of the blind man Bartimaeus changed his story. God is faithful. Your situation can never be hopeless. I once pastored in a church where a woman was trusting God for the fruit of the womb for 9 years. I encouraged her to continue serving the Lord. She joined the choir and used her gift to serve God. She also made it a habit to make contributions to the children’s department. She was mocked but today, to the glory of God, she has two sons.
You need to show mercy to others as a way of invoking mercy from God. Seek God and serve Him faithfully. The Bible says, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” – Romans 9:16 (KJV).
Get ready for the mercy of God will show up for you. In this season, the mercy of God will bring physical manifestation in Jesus’ name.
Insight: The mercy of God makes Him intervene in our situation.
Prayer: Father, show up your mercy for a changed story in my life in the name of Jesus.
