Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

As far as God is concerned, all the things that many people are trying to hide are so naked before His eyes. Many people have idols hidden in the secret chambers of their hearts, concealed from the sight of men but definitely not from God’s. These hidden secrets decide what they get most of the time they come to a prayer meeting. The only problem is that the Christian idol is harder to recognize than that of the world.

The Bible says, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks“. This means that the heart will pour out its content when it is full. Break down everything in your heart. Any person, thing, attitude, endeavour, concept, doctrine, or object that can replace God in your life is an idol. Anything you place before God or by the side of God is an idol in your life.

A lot of Christians have hidden secrets as idols in their lives. It is these idols that get them into trouble. When God puts you in a position and asks you to serve Him, but you keep giving conditions, that thing which makes you give conditions is an idol in your life. Break it down and break it off from your heart.

Insight: God added these words to Saul, “Stubbornness is like iniquity and idolatry, and rebellion is like witchcraft. So a witch and a rebellious person are twins bound for hell. A stubborn person and an idol worshipper are twins in hell.

Prayer: Father, I break off from any idol of the heart and any modern-day idols; catch fire now in the name of Jesus.
