Daily Delight Devotional – Thursday, August 10 2023

Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

– Romans 8:26, KJV

Every human being has one infirmity of personality. When you realise that there is a hindrance in your flesh to the full enjoyment of the things that your spirit is sharing in the Holy Spirit, it leads to a groaning from deep within. Some people have an infirmity of an over-scrupulous conscience and always labour under a cloud of condemnation. The Holy Spirit helps our infirmities, and He will take hold together with you against your infirmity and heal you of it.

Insight: Never allow your peculiar infirmity to become an excuse for your failures in life. Rather, depend on the Holy Spirit’s help.

Prayer: Father, I surrender to the Holy Spirit to help and take charge of my life affairs in the name of Jesus.
