Daily Delight Devotional – Monday, July 10 2023

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

– Psalm 119:9, KJV

God expects you to act like a young person to understand God’s Word, which helps you cleanse your ways. You can be cleansed and sanctified by taking heed of the Word of God. In order to be good Christians, God expects you to have a good protective covering around yourself. He expects you to surround yourself with the Word of God. The question you should ask yourself is, how can you surround yourself with the Word of God?

Read the Bible regularly.

God has a way of giving you exactly what you need on the day you need it. Sometimes, God can minister to you through His Word if you encounter one problem or temptation. He can minister to you in the exact verse of the Scripture you needed.

When Jesus overcame temptation, he quoted Scripture. You must memorize and meditate on the Scripture. It will greatly enhance your concentration as you quote what you read. To keep your heart clean, you will really need the oil of the Holy Spirit in your life. It is impossible for you to have the Holy Spirit living in your heart and practising sin. Are you willing to be a young person who is totally committed to Christ?

Insight: When you get busy with God, you will be pure and sin will keep off from your life.

Prayer: Father, engrace me with supernatural strength to be getting younger and younger in the Lord in order to manifest God’s glory in the name of Jesus.
