By much slothfulness the building decayeth, and through idleness of the hands, the house droppeth.
Eccl. 10:18, KJV
The plain truth is that many physical and spiritual projects have decayed as a result of slothfulness or laziness.
“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit, serving the Lord”
– Romans 12:11
God disowns any act of slothfulness in your business; even ministry is not meant for lazy people. If you don’t wake up to kill slothfulness, slothfulness will kill you because it will keep you in the valley, robbing you of spiritual, physical, material, and financial benefits, and bringing problems into your life. God forbids!
To be slothful is to fold your arms and watch the enemy of your family helplessly attacking you and your household. Sometimes the devil continues to prevail because many people are lazy. If you are strong, bold, aggressive, and hard-working, the devil will not be able to carry out his evil program in your life. If you allow laziness into your life, it will become a monument of failure. Lazy people always give excuses or tender reasons why they must not do what is expected.
The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
– Proverbs 26:13
A slothful man would try to convince himself and others of his failure. Sometimes, he uses excuses to hide the fact. He is plainly slothful. Beloved, you must serve the Lord fervently. Hard work and diligence are the pure hallmarks of spiritual fervor. To kill slothfulness requires a high degree of physical and spiritual alertness, hard work, and special skills. Don’t allow laziness and acts of negligence to destroy your potential. To destroy slothfulness, it demands diligence and dedication to your duty, and then the grace of God will multiply in your life.
May every form of laziness die in your life, and may God raise divine injunction against any slothfulness working against your life in the name of Jesus.
