For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

– Romans 8:13,NKJV

A victorious life is possible only through the power of the Holy Spirit. The scripture is very explicit about this. “He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. For by strength no man shall prevail.” – 1 Samuel 2:9, NKJV

The battle between the flesh and the Spirit is ongoing in every Christian’s life. The flesh, representing our human nature, is prone to sin, while the Holy Spirit empowers us to live in obedience to God. This is why the Apostle Paul in today’s reference teaches that a victorious life comes when we rely on the Holy Spirit. It is not about striving harder on our own; it’s about surrendering our weaknesses to God’s Spirit and trusting Him to transform us.

As we yield to His influence, He renews our minds, transforms our desires, and gives us the strength to walk in victory over sin. His presence in our lives allows us to overcome not only external temptations but also the internal struggles that often weigh us down.

Insight: The power to live victoriously comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to walk in victory through Your strength.
