Daily Delight Devotional – Monday, April 1, 2024

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

– Ephesians 6:10-11, NKJV

As believers, we are engaged in a spiritual battle that requires us to be constantly vigilant and prepared. The armour of God described in Ephesians 6 is not merely symbolic but serves as essential protection against the schemes of the enemy.

Living victoriously in spiritual warfare means applying the armour of God daily — girding ourselves with truth, putting on the breastplate of righteousness, equipping our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, wearing the helmet of salvation, and wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Each piece of the armour represents a vital aspect of our spiritual defence, enabling us to withstand the attacks of the enemy and emerge victorious. However, putting on the armour is not a one-time event but a daily practice of surrendering to God’s strength and protection.

In the face of trials, temptations, and spiritual opposition, we must diligently apply God’s armour, remaining steadfast in our faith and trusting in His power. By doing so, we can stand firm against the wiles of the devil and experience the victorious life that Christ has promised us.

Today, let us commit to living victoriously by applying the armour of God daily in our spiritual warfare. May we draw strength from the Lord and His mighty power, knowing that in Him, we are more than conquerors.
