Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
– Psalm 100:4, NKJV
Praise is a powerful key that unlocks the supernatural in our lives. It is the access to the court of heaven where we are ushered into the presence of God, for a release of divine favour, blessings, and breakthroughs. Psalm 100:4 reveals that the protocol for accessing God’s presence is to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. This is the divine order for access to God and to experience His power.
Quantum leap requires the extraordinary and praise has the power to shift circumstances. Remember when Paul and Silas were imprisoned, they didn’t complain or despair. They praised God (Acts 16:25-26). And their praise caused an earthquake that broke their chains and opened the prison doors. Praise is not to make us feel good. It doesn’t just lift our spirits. When you lift your voice in worship, by extension, you are creating an atmosphere where God showcases His power. When you are waiting, praise. When it is challenging, praise. When you feel lost, praise. Even when you feel the battle is lost, praise. When you cultivate a life of praise, you operate under open heavens.
Insight: Praise is a weapon that brings down walls and releases breakthroughs.
Prayer: Father, help me to cultivate a heart of thanksgiving and worship even when I don’t feel like it.
