Daily Delight Devotional – Monday, June 19 2023

I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.

God calls every Christian into the race of service. Some of these involve visible skills and abilities. Sometimes the Lord puts you on the race and seems to forget about you. Such periods are common to all who in any way serve the Lord. These times of inactivity are usually times of inward deepening in the Lord. If the Lord has you in this place of quiet deepening, keep on keeping on and press on pressing on. God is concerned for such Christians or believers who have become so discouraged that they have ceased serving the Lord actively. Don’t allow the devil to knock you out of the race but PRESS ON.

Put your mind’s eye on God’s service and be more active in the Lord’s work and stay in the race – in finishing the race.

Insight: In the race, you can press on pressing on.

Prayer: Father, release into my life the power to finish my race successfully in the name of Jesus.
