Daily Delight Devotional – Wednesday, August 16 2023

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

– Jeremiah 1:5, KJV

God was dealing with Jeremiah – moving him into His prophetic plan or mandate for his life. God knew everything about Jeremiah and He had destined him for what he would become.

You will be at your best only when you find out what God’s plan and purpose for your destiny is and begin to walk in it. It is then all things will begin to work together for your good, and God makes everything you do prosper. God was revealing to Jeremiah his destiny but Jeremiah was trying to run away from it. He was afraid and thought he was too small to do what God wanted him to do. However, God told him He already separated him for a specific assignment long before he was born.

Jeremiah first separated himself from sin and the ungodly system of Babylon and truly dedicated his entire life to God. What is true of Jeremiah is certainly true for you because everyone born of God has a unique destiny to fulfil on Planet Earth. If you are doing anything other than what God had separated you for, you will not be established in it. Divine establishment comes in the place of divine ordination.

Insight: There is a prophetic mandate for your life. You cannot afford to run your life anyhow. You must find out your prophetic mandate in order to find out what God has for you and walk in it to fulfil the prophetic mandate.

Prayer: Father, help me to discover my prophetic mandate and to fulfil it in the name of Jesus.
