Redeemed from the Curse – #DailyDelightDevotional

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

– Galatians 3:13, KJV

Poverty is not for any true child of God. The finished work on the cross of Calvary has set us free from the stronghold of poverty. The incident in the Garden of Eden was what introduced poverty into the world. Today, any man who must make it must come under the power of Jesus at the place of Calvary. Christ has, by the sacrifice on the cross, set man free once and for all from the bondage of poverty. Yes, we have been redeemed from the curse. This is why the Apostle John spoke the mind of God in 3 John vs 2 that believers prosper first spiritually so that they could know their rights, that they no longer had to suffer poverty because they had been redeemed from it. In other to enjoy liberty, you must, first of all, understand the things that can hold you in captivity so that you may avoid them.

Insight: It is not the will of God to inflict curses on any man, but when men wilfully sin, they open the door to the operation of the curse of poverty in their lives.

Prayer: Father, let every power that is promoting poverty be destroyed now in the name of Jesus.
