For we walk by faith, not by sight:
2 Corinthians 5:7
You must walk by faith despite the sight of circumstances. God wants His children not only to learn what it means to walk by faith but to do it. Sometimes, we fail in faith walking because we want to see the end before we begin, and when we see the sight of circumstances, we fail to act. This is not walking by faith; it’s “walking by sight,” which is unbelief and really walking in darkness.
Walking according to God’s word comes in two forms: the written word and the spoken word. The written word is in the Bible, the divinely inspired word of God, infallible in its original text. The spoken word is God, by the Holy Spirit speaking into the heart, mind, or spirit of the believer and is known as God’s rhema. By this word, you should be overwhelmed and never allow circumstances to overrule the word of the living God, thereby producing unbelief. Instead, exercise your faith through the living word to profit you.
Insight: The Israelites failed to enter the promised land not because God’s promise failed but because of their disbelief.
Prayer: Father, I release supernatural faith to overcome life’s challenges, in the name of Jesus.
