The Giving Grace – #WordfortheWeek

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

– Acts 20:35, KJV

Giving is a kingdom mystery. Giving grace is a virtue that should be desired. In all walks with God, one mystery that is sure is that those who give, increase in their ability to receive; but those who withhold end up in poverty because instead of increasing in their ability to receive, they start decreasing. You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.

“…there is one who scatters, yet increases more, and there is one who withholds more that is right, but it leads to poverty.”

– Proverbs 11:24 (NKJV)

Abundant giving brings abundant living. When you are poor and you are not giving, by the time you are rich, you will not give. In this world, people do not celebrate the receiver but the giver. So, being generous is part of being spiritual.

Giving must become your way of life, so you must give your time, your talent, your money and you will see what the Lord will do.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

– Genesis 8:22, KJV

A principle or law has already been put in place by God and the law states that seedtime and harvest shall not cease as long as the earth remains. So the man who gives has planted a seed for which he will always reap a harvest because that’s what the law states. But the man who does not give has no seed sown and therefore cannot expect a harvest because he didn’t make room for it. So giving grace is something you should cultivate because it will go a long way to upgrade your life and help you enjoy financial freedom.

giving grace

According to God’s Word, whatever you sow is what you will reap. If you sow cassava, you expect to reap the same. If beans came out, you would have been very surprised. The same principle applies in terms of your prosperity. If you sow prayers, you will reap the reward. If you sow money, that is what you will reap. Giving is the only divinely ordained way of receiving. It is the surest way to increase in life. It unlocks the treasury of heaven that the rain of abundance may be released to you. It is the gateway to prosperity because without planting, there can be no harvest. God has instituted the mystery of giving so that His children will be blessed.

Giving includes giving of tithes, offerings and helping the less-privileged. It opens the windows of heaven to you. All-round prosperity can never be complete without giving. The more you give the more you receive. What you make to happen for another, God will make to happen for you. Certainly, what you sow you will reap.

God is the God of multiplication. When you give, He will return a hundredfold portion to you. Giving is the secret to prosperity. May you receive giving grace in the name of Jesus.
