Daily Delight Devotional – Thursday, July 6 2023

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

– Psalm 103:7, KJV

God revealed His ways to Moses. Moses got to know God Himself intimately. Sometimes, some things remain a secret for the time being. You won’t understand the reason they happen. It simply is a mystery when you begin to see things unfolding miraculously. Some experiences teach the ways of God. Moses had that experience with God. Only those that know God devotedly can know God’s ways or acts; not those who know Him religiously like the people of Israel while in the wilderness.

Your encounter with God will determine the revelation He will unveil to you. Even David’s experience with God of knowing His ways finally brought him to the throne. God had to use the problems in his life to prepare him for the throne. The Bible says,

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

– Romans 8:28, NKJV

That is to the person that knows God’s ways. You can be confident that your God is working all things together for His glory and your good. And later you will know the reason He did what He did. You may ask God many questions. He may answer you by revelation and it will bring you to your knees as you come to see just how great His plan is for your life.

Insight: You must understand that many of God’s ways are mysterious. God’s will and ways are often a baffling mystery and we long to have that mystery solved.

Prayer: Lord, help me to know more of you and your ways in the name of Jesus.
