Daily Delight Devotional – Friday, June 13, 2025

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

– Hebrews 12:6

One of the signs of maturity is how we respond to correction. Children get angry or offended when they are corrected. But mature ones understand that correction is a blessing from a loving Father.

God corrects us because He loves us. He wants us to be better, stronger, and wiser. If we avoid correction, we remain in error. But if we receive it, we grow into our full potential.

Don’t fear correction. Don’t reject advice. Listen. Learn. Grow. A man who receives correction will go far. He will become wise and useful in the hands of God.

Insight: Correction is not punishment. It is preparation for something greater.

Prayer: Father, thank You for loving me enough to correct me. Give me a humble heart to accept correction and grow. Make me wise through Your Word and guidance. Amen.
